Model Homes

The typical process of designing model homes (as seen below), differs from conventional residential custom home builds. The unique nature of these models is that the purpose is to "sell" developers' products, products being the homes themselves. The clients (typically builders) would request specific FF&E to use, have a merchandising design criteria breakdown, and pre-selected architectural structural conditions. Celine would typically receive this information directly and would coordinate with the team to initiate the design process. She would do this by drafting the initial space planning based on real furniture pieces that would occasionally be used for presentation, all electrical placement and selections, and draft all the interior conditions based on the architects drawings. Occasionally she would even suggest or select the FF&E and design criteria to ensure consist interior spaces.
